Jimmy Werner DePauli-Schimanovich (born in Vienna and living in Vienna and Las Palmas) is a computer scientist at the Vienna University of Technology TU and ULPGC (Uni Las Palmas in Gran Canaria) and he is founder of the International Kurt Gödel Society and author and editor of various scientific books and publications.

Biography: Werner DePauli-Schimanovich studied mechanical engineering, physics, logistics and mathematics at the University of Vienna. In 1973 he received his doctorate with a dissertation on the extension of set theory. DePauli-Schimanovich has been working at the Institute for Statistics and Decision Support Systems at the University of Vienna since 1971. His research focuses on automata theory, formal languages, mathematical logic, computer science, logical programming, traffic computer science, urban planning, mathematical games, A.I., cognitive science, history of logic and the work of Kurt Gödel. In 1986 he realized the 80-minute television documentary »Kurt Gödel. A Mathematical Myth«.
